The Village of Jackson Snow and Ice information can be found in the Code of Ordinances. Please keep the following in mind when snow is falling, or when icy conditions present themselves:
1. Sidewalks must be cleared within 24-hours of snow or ice ceasing to fall.
2. Owners are responsible for sanding and/or salting sidewalks to maintain safe pathway for pedestrians.
3. Snow may not be thrown or shoveled into street or other public places.
4. Snow may not be piled in a way that obstructs view for pedestrians or operators of motor vehicles.
5. Residents are asked to clear a 3-foot radius around fire hydrants and maintain a clear path to the street for easy access by emergency responders.
