[ARCHIVED] Hickory Lane Reconstruction Project

Hickory Lane Reconstruction Project Update - Utility Delay

UPDATE 8/1:
Work on the Hickory Lane reconstruction project resumed ion 7/30. Crews have commenced installation of the 48-inch underground storm sewer pipe, progressing at a rate of approximately 140 feet per day. Currently, installation is complete up to Hawthorne Drive and continuing westward. Due to the utility conflicts, the project completion date has been moved to the first week of November. Full schedule details are available by visiting the following linked document: https://villageofjacksonwi.gov/DocumentCenter/View/1326/Hickory-Lane-Reconstruction---Updated-Schedule-07-29-25

UPDATE 7/25:
The Village regrets to inform the public WE Energies and AT&T did not account for existing underground utilities during the project’s planning phase. As a result, the Village’s contractor was forced to vacate the site and pause all underground installation work until the conflict is resolved.
The Village is actively working with WE Energies and AT&T to expedite a resolution, allowing contractors to resume work as soon as possible.

Construction hazards remain on-site, and the road remains closed to through traffic. Travelers may, however, navigate around the construction area by utilizing Jackson Drive and/or Glen Brooke Drive between Sherman Road and Main Street. While a revised project timeline is not yet available, staff remain hopeful that construction will resume soon and that the project will still be completed by the end of October.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this unexpected disruption.
