Board of Review
An assessment is the value placed upon your property by the Village's assessor, which is Catalis Tax & CAMA, Inc. This value determines what portion of the local property tax levy is carried by your property.
If you disagree with your assessment, Wis. Stats. §70.47 grants you the right to appeal to the Board of Review. The Board of Review meets during a 30-day period, beginning as early as the 2nd Monday in May of each year. There are some requirements to appeal your assessment to the Board of Review.
- Written or oral notice of your intent to file an objection must be field with the Board's clerk (the Village Clerk) at least 48 hours before the first scheduled meeting of the Board of Review.
- A written and signed objection to the property assessment must be filled out and filed with the Board's clerk (the Village Clerk) within the first two (2) hours of the Board of Review's first scheduled meeting.
- Links to the objection forms can be found below.
